Cape Town named 2025’s Best City in the World by Time Out



Cape Town has just kicked off the new year with a big win – as the World’s Best City, according to Time Out’s 50 best cities in the world in 2025.

This prestigious accolade comes from Time Out’s annual global survey, which gathered insights from over 18 500 locals worldwide, with input from more than 100 city experts.

This is interesting! In a surprising move, Albania plans to create a liberal Muslim microstate, the Sovereign State of the Bektashi Order. Led by Baba Mondi, it will allow alcohol, freedom of dress, and no strict rules. Located in Tirana, it will be the smallest country in the world, a quarter the size of the Vatican.
