Eyjafjallajökull
Apr. 22nd, 2010 03:54 pmThis name has become so famous in the recent week... Many people are cursing Iceland, first for melting down several European economies, and now for grounding the whole air traffic on the continent.
The funny thing is that most news anchors have tried to pronounce the name of the volcano (actually the glacier) and have failed.
So this nice Icelandic lady decided to make a small song to help them out. =)
Go after me:
AY-yah-FIAT-la-YOO-cut-L

And please don't swear at us too much... It would be enough to write us a cheque of... let us say, 30 billion Euros... and we promise to turn off the volcano!
Otherwise... prepare for worse! Mount Katla is sleeping nearby. And experience shows that once Eyjafjallajökull awakens, Katla is short to follow. And THEN... then things become rather messy...
