Hell on earth

Just off the coast of Brazil, south of São Paulo, is the island of Queimada Grande, also known as the Snake Island. Even today it remains untouched by explorers, and there is a good reason. The zoologists have calculated an average population of 1-5 snakes per sq m on the island!
This wouldn't be so frightening and shocking if the snakes were small and not venomous. But alas! The snakes on Queimada Grande are extremely venomous representatives of the Critalidae family. These reptiles can reach 2 metres and they have a powerful and fast venom that melts the flesh around the place of impact within minutes.
This island is so dangerous that you would need a special permit to go there. It is constantly guarded by the Brazilian navy, which tries to prevent any sailor being blown on shore of Queimada Grande.

Can you imagine stepping there by some poor chance, without suspecting what awaits you among those trees?
