  Remeber that owner of a game reserve who was attacked by lions? There was a lot of controversy back then.

Now in this case, everything is clear. The lions really attacked the boy, they really did it. But are they to blame for what they did? They are lions! Not pets. The whole polemic about their "fate" and whether they should be punished is ridiculous. If you are afraid of lions, don't go into the wild alone. And watch your children. Should we kill all lions around the world just because they are predators? And why should they be servile as dogs? They just cannot be!

I am glad the culling of these magnificent creatures was suspended. A good decision by the court. But the very idea of doing it is appalling.
