It is awesome that Stephen Colbert brought Tinariwen to his show last Tuesday! Beyond the beautiful music, those ancient vibes of old souls and old love, people will maybe understand that hatred towards that culture (or that type of culture) is not justified - there is more in that part of the world than screaming warriors, suicidal terrorists and religious fanaticism. It is an ancient culture, longing for freedom, for love and beauty, just as all humans are. Tinariwen's music mirrors their centuries old culture, their beautiful tales and traditions and it can take you to far away countries as well as mysterious places within your own soul.
